Alisa shoots film

Why do you shoot film, Alisa?

I shoot film because it brings an element of surprise with it. Regardless of how much you plan the shot and its settings, the result is always unexpected. To me film's unpredictability adds magic to one's memories. It does not just portray the moment, but rather emphasizes on the emotions that came with it. Looking back at the photos brings back to life an additional dimension of lively and colorful stories.

You can see more of Alisa's film photos on Flickr.

the dinner project, week 30

Monday July 26: at our friends' place in Sandnes: grilled lamb chops, sausages, ratatouille-ish vegetables, rice and bearnaise sauce

Tuesday July 27: with Sølve at Bølgen & Moi restaurant at Tjuvholmen, Oslo: Sølve had entrecote and I had cod. I don't remember the details, but we were both very happy with our meals.

Wednesday July 28: at our friends' cabin at Hvaler: grilled meat and a salad

Thursday July 29: at our friends' cabin at Hvaler: We all had too many waffles for lunch dessert, so dinner got a little different than planned. First we had cheese, crackers, Serrano ham and wine, and then chicken filets filled with mozzarella, mango and roquefort/salami. Finally the boys grilled some fruits in the rain.

Friday July 30: with Sølve at Dolly Dimple's pizza restaurant in Skien

Saturday July 31: at my cousin's place with lots of family: fresh shrimps, white bread, mayonnaise and lemon

Sunday August 1: home in Bergen after two weeks of summer vacation: Grandiosa frozen pizza (photo above)
