Despite the picture of a Power Mac-like casing on the banner, I still think that the Mac Pro will have a different structure than the Power Macs.
I mean, developers will still have to use Power Macs to test the PowerPC versions of their software, right? So why not throw a tool that developers will still be using up there?
Plus, of the four Macs that already have Intel processors, the two that kept their old names (iMac, Mac mini) have the same (or basically the same) casing, while the two that now have different names (MacBook Pro, MacBook) have different cases (the Pro does look a lot like the PowerBook, but it has many design changes).

No, thanks. I don't wanna have to wear these stupid-looking glasses every time I need to use the iPad and look like a total dork.

There using a GLASSES-LESS 3D screen that is y it is significant, the red/blue glasses will work with any screen if the image is in that format, that is y it works in any tv.

If Wal-Mart stop selling DVD's by Studios who join the iTunes Store then I guess mu MR friensd in the US can just go buy somewher else.
I don't get it - if Wal-mart doesn't sell something does that mean no-one will buy it - at all? Just go elsewhere to get what you want.
Idiots!

"In an effort to decrease European government spending ... They are planning on reducing billions from their military budgets due to budget deficits."

Quick, yes, but not very substantive. That third one, wtf is that? Sheesh.

I remember that phase. I had the whole aqua thing going on with a skin from themexp.
Yeah, well my phase is just between now and the MBP release. After that I'm gonna give my computer to my brother so that he can play GTA: SA without any lagging. Hehe :D Long live games, the only thing a PC does better than a mac

Guys and Girls,
That clearly is not a Black Macbook Pro there, unless there coming out with 13.3 inch Macbook Pro's then it is a Macbook. This could mean that we will be seeing an upgraded Macbook (Pro / Non) introduced monday most likely with the Core 2 Duo mobile. Also, in the picture, it really looks like it has a backlit keyboard. If it does, I will be waiting for that to ship before I buy my Macbook.

I find it weird that you get a remote control and front row on a lower end machine but you can't even get it as a custom configuration option on the higher end machines. I understand that these are supposed to be the "professional" machines and iMacs are for "consumers," but in the real world that delineation doesn't mean much. Many people buying Mac Pros are getting them as their home computer, and it's pretty lame that you drop extra money on the high end and can't do some of the really cool things that can be done on a lower end model.
That said, I'd gladly accept a Mac Pro if someone wanted to buy me one so they can prove that it doesn't matter. ;)

It's a combination of things, but all pointing to the same fact. There's virtually no competition in the Mac marketplace. Competition is what drives innovation. It's what makes Intel and AMD keep cranking out faster chips. There is no such competition in the Mac marketplace. Until there is, we're going to be stuck with slow(er), more expensive hardware. And Apple is still going to be percieved as a miniscule presence.
I think Steve Jobs is a good showman, but I don't think he's a very good CEO. Apple needs an enterprise strategy. A results-oriented approach to getting business done, and integrating data across multiple platforms and industries. They need to gain wider acceptence of the Mac platform to create competition and development. That's the only way Apple is going to succeed as a company.
Lou Gerstner (who is by far one of the most brilliant business men of our age, next to Billiam Gates) said in 1999; the days of the personal computer are numbered and dwindling. Business, education, and home usage are all moving to web-centered resources: allowing integration and data unity across the board. Without an enterprise strategy, Apple won't survive. I'm not saying this to be a doom-and-gloom soothsayer. But I'm afraid it's true. Processor speed is only one crack in the hull, so to speak.

If it's shipping in June, even June 30, how can it not be near final form? I mean when a developer tells me s/w is "nowhere near final form" I'm thinking early beta at best. But 2.5 months from release (assume June 30) shouldn't it be in the bug testing phases and everything else locked up?
Would this run on a maxed 13" air ok?
It should except where a plugin or feature is GPU intensive and needs a real video card. That is the real Achilles heel of the 13". (I say that as an owner). Motion will run like molasses though.

This sucks. I was going to buy my ticket when I got home from work. By the time I got home, it was already sold out.
You and a few other thousand engineers. What hasn't been said is how many tickets were sold. I would be curious to see if Apple limited the amount of tickets the first round to get hype and "additional tickets" will go on sale later this week.

slower then handing over your earbud.

I'm not really fussed about touchscreen imacs but it does all add up. The magic pad for all the Macs without the touch-screen.. Ability to run iOS much like you currently run Dashboard, but much, much cooler..
From a gaming perspective it'd add a hell of a lot of value to the Mac platform.. Various other little apps would be cute additions too.
If they do it well it could offer big added value, and wouldn't signify anything in terms of "the end of the Mac platform" How many people aren't going to get iPhones but DO have Macs? Quite a lot.. How much iTunes store iOS software could Apple sell to those people? Quite a lot, I'd imagine! I'd certainly not mind the chance to play around with iphone software across the desktop too.
I would be very surprised if this sort of thing happens so soon though.

Was the one more thing at the iPod event last October the TV shows?
If so, the one more thing this year could be the Movies.

I hope isight stays. Maybe on a smaller format.
I have mixed feelings about the built-in isight. For a desktop model I think I rather have the stand alone isight so i can easily move it around.

Hmmm... I wonder if I'm affected. I replaced my iBook G4 battery with a different brand. Wonder if they've got the same problem. I suppose it's possible that I could get a free new battery out of all this -- not bad!
