My perm was approved a couple of weeks back and we are going to file the 140 pretty soon. In the mean while I had a question regarding the educational equivalency issue I see during this stage. The perm is for EB-2 which requires a Masters Degree( Foreign Degree acceptable). I've a Bachelors from UK which is 3 years and a Masters from UK which is 1 year. During the I-140 process will there be a problem coz of this. Do we have to submit the Bachelors degree information even though the requirement is for a Masters?

saxx it has no chance to beat flash. Its good in that it uses a very solid language backing. Its just not even remotely comparable to flash atm (its like flash 8 tbh if they were to be compared).

I have a good feeling once its further in development and MS has integrated all of DX10/DX11 support we will be seeing a lot more of it (probably because of a windows update).

Till then its just something to mess around with. Think of it more as a JAVA in your browser... everyone eventually will have it... but very few will use it.

I was worried about the Immigration status with the FHA loan processing. Glad it's not an issue.

Still debating whether to refinance via FHA or wait for a few months till the house prices are better and do a conventional loan. The FHA MIs are quite steep in my case ($20K upfront + $350 per month)

I think i tried everything to get my I-485 approval. But nothing worked.

1. So far 3 SRs have been created. No response.
2. Infopass - No response (other than pending status)
3. Letter to Ombudsman - No response so far. Its been more than 50 days.
4. Called IO's several times - Nothing happend.
5. One IO told me that she would try to assign my file to an officer. This was two months back. Nothing happend.

My case is still waiting to be assigned to an officer. What else should i do?

MY case details are PD:02/2002, EB2, India. I-485 RD: 06/06/07.

I have one question that I will post here. I do not want to open a new thread.

I am inviting my in-laws and I filled their DS156 forms online. After filling everything, it generated the pdf file of DS156. In that pdf file, there is one section in upper right hand corner called "DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACE". Under that section there is a line (fill in the blanks type) starting with "On ______ by _____ under section 214(b) 221(g) ".

Now after generating the pdf, the appointment date was automatically put into this section. Example: "On 01 January 2009 by ......".

I am worried why they put the date there and the date was not there when I took appointment for my parents. I also checked my collegues parents DS156, and the date was still not there. It is Mumbai consulate.

Can somebody please confirm if they had similar experience and they got their parent's or in-laws visa granted??

Do not use some one's profile, if you want answer from any one. To make a new profile will take less than 10 minutes. If you don't have 10 minutes, then how other people spend their time to answer your questions. You want free advice, but you are not willing to join IV. This all shows the mindset of the people.
Any way using some one's username and password is highly illegal. Ask IV moderator for permission to use some body's account.

guys..it is very unfortunate that you felt that im here to make sensation by creating stories out of my head..!

the qn raised afew months ago was my friend who had this profile in this community..she gave me the link of the response, and also asked me to use her profile in future as she seldom use this community herself..in my situation, when we are going through lot of stress, i did not find time to create a new profile or update the current profile...i hope its not a major crime!!

today i checked the profile page, and i did not see anything relevant information that i can add (most of it is GC application related, which im not dong). the only thing i could do is remove the state of residence of my friend!

i cannot reveal my identity or share my personal information in a public forum other than my location which is India.

My employer had filed a civil complaint, saying i have broken the contract which i signed with them that i will work with them for 18 months!

if you do not feel comfortable helping a person without knowing the identity(i dnt see anybody in this forum using their real name), it is totally fine.

My attorney asked me to put A# as N/A. I assume, N/A is applicable to all h1b holders. Make sure, you write the correct I-94#, otherwise they might reject/send back your application because of improper information. I think, it is not appropriate to give A# from your OPT card.

I have a couple of questions here:

1) The last digit of the I-94# number is not very clear(Not sure if it is a 3 or 8). What do I write in the 485? Is there any way to find the correct one?

2) I filed the I140 without providing the A#. I understand that when I dont provide one, a new one is generated. And the A# is usually used to link the 485 with the 140. Now when I apply for 485, if I give the A# from my OPT EAD, will it be a problem because a new number will be already generated for I140? Should I write the A# in 485 or just leave it??

This being your very first post, I presume you have logged in just to get an answer to your 'very important' question. I empathize with your situation, and hope you find the answers that you are seeking.

This organization needs more active participants to lobby for sweeping reforms instead of individuals that are focused on their personal issues. Pitch in and help us out!

Happy New Year for everyone in this forum....

Sorry for taking this discussion into different side..instead of opening a new thread i felt my question is related somewhat to this...

I am planning to change to new employer in february 2009 and used AP on Nov 2008. I am planning to ask new employer for H1B transfer instead of EAD as my H1B is valid till Sep,2010. Will this be a problem as i already used AP..some where i read that, i may jeopardize my 485 application, if i do H1 transfer in this case, as i used my AP....

I will talk to lawyer soon on this and let u know but any insight is helpful from you all..

I think it has to be either you or your lawyer. No third party should get any communication from USCIS. So I guess you'll get it - if at all they send it back.

How long is your I-485 pending? Ever thought about suing the USCIS? This is still the country of law.

I cant. I have no money after paying for school, lawyers fees in GC. As I said my company did not pay a dime for getting GC work done. Had to bear all expenses myself. Dont even know whether company will pay for H1 renewal next year.

I have read many threads that discusses the pros and cons of using EAD over H1 and the common benefit that everyone mentions is that the salary is usually better for a person on an EAD. I spoke to several people who've started using their EAD and realized that even though it opened up opportunities with companies that do not have a policy of sponsoring H1, it DID NOT give them a boost in the salary.

My question is how do people intend to leverage on having an EAD for a higher salary?

It could be possible to get more money on EAD because you have more choice. I cant expect more salary just because I have an EAD. There are so many people with EADS in USA ... What counts is your experience. If you are already gettting paid according to the market conditions you may expect a boost in salary just because you have an EAD.
