Rollei Retro 100

A little while ago I was asked by Tippi + Ella what my favorite films are. My favorite color negative films are Kodak Ektar 100, Kodak Portra 400nc and Kodak Portra 160vc. They all have beautiful color tones and fine grain. My favorite slide film is Fuji Velvia (100, 100F and 50) because of it's ability to capture light and the rich, saturated, often blueish color tones. I have not shot a lot of black and white film, but I have found out that I prefer the fine grain of Rollei Retro 100 to the heavy grain of Ilford Delta 3200.

I normally buy my films from Scandinavian Photo and Antonio Stasi plus I do swaps with my friend Mathias in Berlin (I send him Tim Wendelboe coffee beans bought at Kaffemisjonen, he sends me films). I normally have my films developed at Fotoknudsen at Galleriet in Bergen (they scan the films too). Slide films are developed at Foto-Sentralen in Sandnes. So far there are no labs in Bergen that develop slide film. Antonio Stasi told me he will start developing slide film soon though.

Rosa+eple asked me where in Bergen medium format film can be developed. I have so far never shot medium format (I would like to try though!), so I don't know really. Just ask around. I bet Antonio Stasi does.

What is your favorite film?
