Budapest | Great Market Hall

When my parents took me to Budapest for my fist visit in 1999, we visited the Great Market Hall. I remember being fascinated by all the chilies hanging everywhere. It was nice to visit this place again; food markets are always a winner in my book.

Budapest | beauty treatments

As I told you, I was in Budapest with a small group of journalists to check out Bellanor's beauty and spa program. In addition to visiting the thermal bath, we also got these treatments:


We got various facial treatments adapted to our individual needs in Anna Harangvölgyi's Harangvölgyi Pro-es Anti Aging Központ beauty salon. It's the first time I've gotten a facial treatment ever - I think I'll treat myself to it more often. It was lovely!






In Susanna Galgóczi's A-list Salon and Spa we got fish pedicure (weird and kind of nice), a massage of our own choice and professional hair blowing. My very straight hair suddenly got a lot of volume and waves.



At Mac we learnt how to put on make up. I normally don't wear a lot of make up, so this was a helpful lesson for me.

Budapest | Szechenyi Bath and Spa

Visiting a fürdő is a must when you are in Budapest. We visited the beautiful Szechenyi Bath and Spa which is one of the biggest thermal baths in Europe.

After visiting the Citadella, we visited the castle district with the castle, the Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion.

On the first day of our visit to Budapest, we were taken on a little sightseeing trip to see some of the major sights of the city. First we visited the Citadella and got a beautiful view of the city.

We stayed at the stylish Continental Hotel Zara. It's a new big (272 rooms) four star hotel with an interesting history; since the 1820s it used to be a spa.
