In Norway we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving or Halloween, although the latter has become popular in recent years - probably because of influences of American pop culture. It was fun though seeing the obvious signs of the holiday season whilst in New York. Unfortunately we just missed the Village Halloween Parade on Sunday October 31 (our flight home was at 6:30 pm the same day), but we did see a few scary, funny and cute kids during our morning stroll in the West Village.
