Why do you shoot film, Winnie?
I love how film captures light. I love the experience of taking film photographs, the creation of a physical object -- making something. The click of the shutter is real. It feels nice. And where digital photography seems to keep you from being present in the moment, something about film adds to it, makes memories more indelible, more vivid. I can't recall any thrill quite like the one I get when my pictures come back from the lab; when you do everything just right, the results are pure magic. Especially the accidental ones, like this one.
